Our Little Monkey

We got home on Tuesday afternoon. We are getting used to being a family of four and getting into a little bit of a routine. Ava just loves her little brother and is constantly running to him to say hi or give him a kiss or hug. When she leaves the house, she doesn't care about saying goodbye to mama or anyone else, but has to say goodbye to her brother! It's so sweet. Isaac has already had two doctors visits. The first one was just to see the doctor for the first time and to get started with our pediatrician. He weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz., which is more than 10% of his birth weight. Because of that, she wanted to see him again in two days to make sure that he started gaining weight. We went back today and we were shocked to find out that he now weighs 6 lbs. 13 oz.! What a good eater! :)
Mommy is doing good. Since we got home from the hospital, I have started to have severe headaches and had to go back to see my doctor to make sure everything was okay. Long story short, I have a spinal headache that is caused from the epidural and will go away slowly during the next two weeks. I am on strong pain medicine and can function much better as long as I'm taking the medicine. Pray it goes away before the two weeks and I don't have to rely on the medicine for too long.
We will try to keep this updated as much as possible. It is very difficult now with two kids! :)

Our wonderful OB! He is a wonderful doctor and made the experience of having two kids wonderful!

Isaac

Big Yawn!
Just relaxing in the hospital. So tiny!

Looks just like Ava as a baby!

More Pics of Isaac

Papa and Nana brought Ava to the hospital today to meet her little brother. She was very good and kept saying "baby". When they were leaving to go back home, she wondered why "baby" wasn't coming with her. So sweet.

Isaac Robert Cattanach

Isaac Robert Cattanach is here! Born 4/11/10 at 9:22pm, 7 lbs. 1 oz., 20 inches long. We are all doing great. It was a very fast and easy deliver...about 3 hours from start to finish! :) He has lots of brown hair and looks a lot like Ava when she was born. We'll post more pictures this afternoon.

Fun with Nana

Nana arrived exactly a week ago today and we are having a blast. We took walks, went to the park, went shopping, to Downtown Disney, hunted Easter eggs, danced, cooked and played. Ava loves her Nana...also known as Nanny now. Ava has given her a new name and it is so cute to hear her say "Nanny". Papa's plane just landed and we are so excited to see him too! Now we are just waiting for little Isaac. I am 39 weeks today and am so ready for him to come. Mom and I spent the day spring cleaning, doing laundry and organizing things. There is nothing left to do except wait on him. We are getting very anxious. I have been having some irregular contractions for the past 7 weeks so it is getting very old. I'm feeling great though and have gotten several comments from complete strangers about how cute of a belly I have. I'll try to take a picture soon. Hopefully the next time I update this blog, it will be with pictures of our sweet little baby.

Still dancing!

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER!
Ava in her Easter dress and bonnet.
Ava and her friend Jacob (with the red hair) waiting for the town easter egg hunt yesterday. They had so much fun and couldn't wait to run get all the eggs.

Ava picking up an easter egg during the hunt.

Look at all my eggs! She was one of the lucky ones that got more than 1 egg...she got 4!! All on her own! What a good egg hunter!
After the egg hunt waiting patiently for lunch.

Look at what GiGi made Ava...an easter birds nest with chocolate and jelly beans! Yum! Yum! Thank you GiGi!

Videos of Ava Having Fun

Here are a couple videos of Ava just having fun. Hope you enjoy. Happy Easter!

Ava LOVES dancing with Mickey and Minnie.

Here she is putting a puzzle together. Lately puzzles have surpassed books as her favorite playtime activity... that is, after watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, of course!

37 Weeks

Here is a little update about little Isaac. Tomorrow I am officially full term at 37 weeks! YAY!! We made it. I have been having minor contractions for quite a while now...about 4-5 weeks but it has never amounted to anything serious or worth counting between contractions. Last Thursday, I was dilated to only 1 cm and have only gained 10 pounds! Don't ask how I managed to do that...I crave ice cream every night too! My doctor thinks that he will come early so my Mom just bought her ticket and will be here next Tuesday, March 30th. I am excited to have her come and help me out before Isaac comes and to be here to watch Ava while I am in the hospital. I will try to keep the blog updated as much as possible.

Isaac's Baby Shower

My good friend from church, Erica, threw me a baby shower last weekend for Isaac. It was so nice of her. It was a great shower and she did a great job! Thank you so much! I got some really nice things and had a great time with all of my friends. My Mom and Mother-in-law even sent little gifts for me to open...so sweet of them to do that!
