Fun with the Cousins

We have been having a blast in Colorado. It finally snowed yesterday at my parents house. The mountains have always had snow but not at my parents house at the base of the mountain. My sister and her family have already gone home and we sure do miss having them around the house. Ava loved playing with her cousins and is sad to not have them around to play with anymore. We don't leave until Monday and are enjoying the colder weather and views of the mountains.

Silly Ava hiding in a laundry basket...I used to do this when I was her age and have a picture in the same basket. She loved it!

My sisters family! What a beautiful family!

The girls all got aprons for Christmas. Yes, Jenn and I were still half asleep.

Nana teaching the kids pick up sticks.

Ava and Alex wrestling in blankets. They were both wrapped up in a blanket and then they went to give each other a hug and Ava fell on top of Alex. They were both dying laughing.

All wrapped up in blankets...pre-falling.

Colorado

We made it safely to Colorado on Thursday evening. We had a great flight and the kids were great for me. Curt had to stay back at home until this Wednesday so I had to do it all on my own. I was impressed as both kids didn't fuss at all on the entire 4 hour flight! :) My sister and her family got in on Friday night and we have been having a blast every day! Emily is now 4 and Alex is only 6 weeks younger than Ava. They all get along great and have so much fun together. We have spent the last few days finishing our shopping, building a gingerbread house, playing with ornaments, going on a horse drawn carriage ride and just playing around the house. There is no snow on the ground and today it was a high of 57 but felt like almost 70. It is beautiful weather! We plan to make a trip up the mountain tomorrow to Estes Park (where my 2 aunts live) and I'm sure we will see snow then. Ava is so excited to play in it! I will try to post pictures every few days as the kids are doing things throughout our trip.
Isaac crashed on Papa's lap after a very long day. He's so adorable!

My 1st Halloween...cutest pumpkin I've ever seen!

Isaac with his friends Logan (Left) and Audrey (middle). Audrey is 3 weeks younger than Isaac and is Ava's friend Tylers little sister. Logan is 6 weeks younger than Isaac and is Ava's friend Lucas's little brother.

All 6 of them!

The three babies. Logan, Audrey and Isaac.

Such a Big Boy

We took this on Sunday. He is growing up so fast. He now prefers to sit instead of lay on his belly or back. He loves to talk and says "mama" but I'm sure it actually just the 'mmmm' sound but it comes out like mama. :) He also have a total of 4 teeth now!!! The 4th one just broke through over the weekend. Ava, Isaac and I are all sick. We have been sick for almost the past 3 weeks with something and just keep passing it around to each other. Unfortunately, there is nothing the doctors can do for us so we just have to wait it out. The kids are being great for being sick though. The nice thing is that they are taking very good naps. :)

Palm Beach Zoo

The day before the tropical storm, it was kind of a yucky day so we headed to the Palm Beach Zoo. It was a great zoo with a lot of animals that we haven't seen before. Including very large lizards and spiders that roam free. I did not care for the spiders too much as they were everywhere, right above your head. I thought one was going to drop down on me at any moment.
Ava and Daddy with the giant lizard/dragon. We got a good video of it too. I'll post that soon as well.
Here is the giant lizard/dragon! Pretty cool if you ask me.

Ava and I in the giant eagle's nest.

Ava chasing the birds...her favorite thing to do.

Look at that huge alligator! We realized that EVERYTHING is bigger in South Florida!!!

The sea otters were playing with Ava. It was really cute.

The big black bear.

This funny looking bird kept doing a dance for Ava. It would jump up and down, put its wings out and then make noises.

The deer...nothing too exciting but they were pretty.

Tropical Storm Nicole

While we were on vacation, a tropical storm came through called Nicole. It wasn't too bad and it gave us a reason to not spend a day at the pool. We went to this place in Palm Beach called PlayMobil. It is kind of like a lego store but attached to it is a huge play area where children can play with all the toys...in hopes that you go buy the toys your kids love. Ava had a lot of fun.

Here is a picture of what it looked like as the storm was coming in. YUCK!!!
